It is rare when a wedding is postponed. I am not sure I have ever been party to such an event. Well I can most certainly check this one off of my list of things that hasn’t happened to me and my Cali Girl as well. A majority of the time if such an event were to take place some reasons may be, the Bride or perhaps the Groom is very ill, sick in the hospital or another Family member may be under the weather, or someone important in your life just died and the Funeral with all its’ arrangements need to come first. I guess there are many reasons why a wedding may not take place on the date of the invitations, (these invites have already been sent thru the mail). What would you say if you were told, I am sorry Mr. and Miss who are intended to be married, I have cashed your deposit for the venue and by the way I no longer can hold your big event, Sorry and Good Luck. Can you believe it? This Man held events at his million dollar estate well aware it was against the neighborhood bylaws, we believe he finally got caught and reprimanded therefore created this situation for Cali Girl and her Fiancé. I am so proud of my Cali Girl, who at the time of such drastic news happened to be in town, she held it together and did not crumble. She took what moments were needed to be stunned and then started searching for solutions, meanwhile her intended back in California sought out an Attorney to take the necessary steps to retrieve their deposit. I have tried to raise my Children with the belief, a problem in life is a temporary setback which isn’t permanent and most likely has a solution. When you fall off a horse do not get back on and try again? I say you do. It is in everyone's’ power not to let Life's’ ups and downs beat them to the ground, for if you do, that is where you will stay with nothing in the end ACCOMPLISHED.
Out of bad news came some good news via email. My Cali Girl had applied online for several Wedding Reality shows. Anyone who knows me also knows I do watch alot of Reality TV. I have my favorites I do not miss. Love: Flipping Out, I always watch Project Runway, (if I had the guts I would try out for PjR, but I don’t) Americas Next Top Model, and a few Cooking shows. So the email read, they would like an interview with Cali Girl and her Fiancé, once they heard the terrible news of what had taken place and the story of soldier Son as well it would be time for on camera interviewing. This was exciting, at least I thought so and so did Cali Girl. Good things can come to those often with just one appearance on TV. My Step Daughter appeared on a Reality show and it hasn’t hurt her life. I would like to know, who wouldn’t want to give someone else the duties of planning a Wedding? Quite a few people hire Wedding Planners to handle all the details needed in pulling off a spectacular wedding. Not everyone involved is as excited or willing to rearrange what they have already planned to reschedule their lives for when the new Wedding date is set. Some do not like the idea of being exposed on TV and believe Reality shows just want to air your dirty laundry to the public. I say, why would they do this? It is a Reality Show making a couples Dream Wedding come to life. That just wouldn’t be right if they were to trample on Love bringing in unnecessary trash. Don’t you agree? Weddings are about LOVE.
We have a new date and a REALITY show to be a part of and I am very excited and plan on being there with rings on my fingers and bells on my toes whenever they tells us we need to be there, and hopefully everyone and anyone who Loves Cali Girl and her Fiancé will do the same and cherish in the Joy and Love they Share.
